Released in February on 09:36 - Dec 17 with 1948 views | SlippinJimmyJuan | They must have got some dosh for Part 2 being used in Joker a few years ago, bit of a weird decision to include that I thought. Think the editor player it down by saying that the character is a bad guy at that point of the film, while the director said he didn't like "pandering to woke culture" or something. Pretty weak excuses really, presuming Glitter sees some of that money.

The Giltter Band wouldn’t have got any royalties for that as it was credited to GG and written by GG and Mike Leander, his producer.

Interesting, I've got no real interest in him so just assumed that the Glitter Band would have some kind of involvement with a Gary Glitter track.

They'd have been paid a session musician fee at the time I would imagine. I have a family connection to Gary Glitter inasmuch as he was my mum's boyfriend in the early 60's when she was a singer and he was starting out as Paul Raven. My old man got him pissed one night until he passed out, then took my mum out to a club in London, leaving GG asleep on the couch, and a year later they got married. If that hadn't have happened I may well have been called Glitter_Blue. My old man always said he thought he was a wrong 'un even before his vile sexual preferences were discovered.

When Gary Glitter had his first hit he didn’t actually have a backing band, he contacted John Rossall, Boston Showband, and they became the Glittermen. They later recorded as Glitterband. John died in October 2021, we had a mutual interest and several years ago I accepted a friends request from him on Facebook. Sadly I have a number of Facebook friends who have past over, haven’t deleted any, now well into double figures…guess that’s an age thing.

I'm with your dad, Glitter looked greasy from the start - pleased you escaped that twist of fate!

Released in February on 11:19 - Dec 18 with 1199 views | HARRY10 | the idea of sentencing is to ensure there is an easy deterrent to 'being a nuiscance' whilst serving the sentence. If Glitter had been given the 8 year sentence decided there is nothing to stop him being 'disruptive' in prison other than having certain privilges removed. This way he is required to be a model prisoner to avoid extra time being served. It should be clear that this is not anything to do with addressing the causes of hisand otgers) criminal behaviour, but to make things easier (cheaper) for the prison service. Glitters release into the community will also be cheaper though not that much easier for him as he will be obliged to live under strict condituons and no doubt be pursued by the lower level rags.. And (rightly so) will be shunned by those former 'friends' he once had. The usual suspect (the Mail) is taking some absurd moral high ground on thus - its dull witted readers ignoring the numerous photos of barely clothed teenage girls with the tag line "all grown up"
