I really think Jackson doesn't add enough to this team. He scores too few goals. he doesn't win any headers. he doesn't pull the opposition centre halves about enough. And he doesn't have enough strength. I know this is a red rag issue with many that defend him. But a real weak link for me. We have to get someone in there as a number 9. Ladapo is better but in a rotation system we don't have enough behind him.

You do realise that you wrote he wins his fair share of headers. I guess it depends on where you put that bar. But if he wins one in four I'd be surprised. Humphries must have nearly as many league goals. I don't like getting down on players but there comes a time when you have to draw a line. Think we saw McKenna say as much in his post match comments too.

Humphreys has 2 league goals from 534 mins.
Jackson has 2 from 945.

It's not enough, even if he is contributing other things.

He wins more than his fair share of headers but theres no point as nobody runs off him. The more i watch us, as much as i don't think Ladapo is good enough to be our main man, i don't think we create much for the strikers at all. Jackson was in so many times first half today, on the shoulder but we never tried to roll the ball in behind for him to run on to. The one time he was accidentally given the ball in behind via a deflection, their cb was sent off. Proper no.10 is needed who can impact the game centrally and not drift wide.

Regarding Ladapo, he isn't. But he also wasn't bought in as the main man. We got him early on a free. And proceeded to chase other strikers. A bit like how we got Leigh and the Davis.

Except, we failed to land our striker and then scrambled to get Ahadme, who is either injured or not good enough, as he only played 50 mins if the first half of the season
