They seem to be very successful.
I went for the first time last night, and paid £70 a head for a really crap meal. Is this typical, or was I unlucky?
For the record, I had nasty slimy chicken wings with a bottled BBQ sauce, a gristly tasteless 'Black Angus' 50 day aged rib-eye, with really dreadful, supposedly triple cooked, chunky chips.

It's dire, I went to Hawksmoor before Christmas and that was outstanding for very similar price as M&C.
The last time I went to the one in Ipswich it looked shoddy, dirty and the staff acted like they would rather be anywhere else than there. I felt the same after my meal. |
I understand basic professionalism but I always find it odd when people say staff on minimum wage or likely not much more look like they don't want to be there.
Dealing with the public is a thankless task. Especially if the underlying product is crap. |  |
