If it is the play-offs... 09:36 - Jan 15 with 5573 views | ITFCBlues | Does anyone think we'd have a chance? With our mental fragility and even the defensive weakness we continue to show, there will be better equipped sides capable of winning then I think.

If it is the play-offs... on 14:32 - Jan 16 by itfcjoe | I didn't say it is pathetic to be unhappy with recent form, I'm sure everyone connected with Ipswich is unhappy with the recent results |
" I just think it’s a bit pathetic that a team that has lost 3 games in 26 is being treated like a team who is sitting in mid table I've not seen anyone treating the club like a midtable team. Just one set of fans unhappy with recent form.

If it is the play-offs... on 14:34 - Jan 16 by itfcjoe | The difference was under Cook we were so far away from the play offs by the start of November the season was over, opposed to now where we are right up there. Failing to get promotion will be a failure this season, but if we get 90 points and miss out it's a very different type of failure than being 15 points off the top 6 or whatever we were when Cook was here |
7 points off 6th at the time. He'd won 4 of his final 6 league games. I personally see non promotion as a failure it doesn't matter if we achieve a record points total but miss out.. it's still a failure and if others finish higher it means we've not been good enough which isn't how it should be with our resources.

When Cook was sacked the 4 previous league games were DLLW so it's not true to say he'd one 4 of last 6, it was 2 of the last 6 he'd won. We had 27 points from 20 games, we were 11th and 7 points behind 6 who had a game in hand. To get to the play offs from there we would have needed to accumulate 56 points from the final 26 games, so the season was as dead as a dodo at the end of November. To equate that failure with what we are doing this season is utterly laughable

Yeah sorry re read it on the Eadt piece. Didn't see it at first. (H) Games it was referring to. I'm not comparing where we are with that timeline i was just pointing out that it was 7 points off play offs not the 15 you thought it was. What ever way however you wish to see it.. if we don't get promoted it will be a failure. Doesn't matter if we finish on 96 points and still don't go up. The owners won't be saying never mind almost but what a lovely season. As Mark Steed said at the very beginning he's very straight and direct.. he has other people wanting to use his money. He wanted Ashton to stop spending and get results. League 1 for a third season under new owners won't be good especially when we are asking for another £1m just to do the pitch. Is the football nice. Yes. Has KM done a great job. Yes. But there is 1 aim and that is promotion. Not almost.
