Are they worth it? Do you have to spend loads to get a really good one?

Or. Just a massive con...?

Ours is a Cosori brand. Does a good job on some things, others still best in the oven.

I did a few oven chips last night, 13 minutes and they were absolutely perfect, you'd never get them that good in the oven...

About twice as long as an air fryer by the sounds of it. I'd expect to do oven chips in about 7 mins

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
Poll: Which recent triallist should we have signed?

Er, jury out for me. Find it’s too small for a family of 4 (and we got a huuuge one). More often than not we use the oven. And we don’t have a lot of baked stuff anyway - much more one pots and stir fry. We get a lot more use out of the slow cooker, but that’s probably because it’s better forcc BBC when you get in late which we do on week nights.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Had a Tower brand one at first but was too small and stopped working after a couple of months. Got a Tefal one and use it a lot.My advice would be to get one with a large drawer. OK for two people but no more than that ( unless I eat too much). Chips are the best . I cook a lot of part baked bread in mine. Done in 8 minutes from switch on to finish. The same for garlic bread. I only eat chicken when I have meat and wasn't impressed with it. Cooks too quick and therefore chewy.

Other side a few chicken breasts

Why would you make vege chips when god invented the glory that is the potato? Just asking.

Good thread btw - thinking of buying one.
