That’s poor Harry. They may well have been born in this country. Their parents, grand parents and great grandparents may well have been born here. May even generations going further back. These people are as British as you or I. |

Sadly roo msny of GBnews's types do not see it. unable to grasp that without migranst medical staff the NHS would collaps. Unable to grasp that edical staff fro all manner of countries work in other countries for prifessioinal reasons - gain qualificatios, gain exoerience etc

Disgracefully, the Mail online last night had an article about the footage of the alleged incident that led to the rioting.
This seemed to me to be fanning the flames.
I didn't read the whole article but got the distinct impression that the video could well have been contrived.
I can't see the article today, so I assume they have taken it down, but the damage may already have been done. [Post edited 12 Feb 2023 11:33]

I've managed to track down the article, although it may have been toned down since I saw it, and has certainly been hidden away.

Two things make me think the footage was set up.
First, the Mail reports that the girl involved filmed it on her phone, but one of the photos also show her being filmed.
Second, the girl reportedly said "You don't do this in this country. You go to jail if you do this.' which seems to me a rather contrived thing to say.
Of course, if there was any criminality involved, this needs condemning, but I wouldn't necessarily take on trust videos from the far right, who clearly have an agenda. [Post edited 12 Feb 2023 11:47]
