Thanks for that. I fear a very physical, tough match tomorrow. Fingers crossed we can weather their aerial / physical threat.

I wonder if players fall down like they have been shot every few minutes like they did when Ainsworth was manager?

I hope Matt Bloomfield has stopped all that.

do you ever live not in fear? You never seem positive or optimistic

Last time it was non-stop fear the break was going to disrupt our rhythm and you seemed very angry we asked for the match to be postponed despite missing two key players.

Colchester v Walsall was the worst game for time-wasting I have ever seen in my life. Both teams were at it from the first minute to the last. Supporters were pleading with the ref not to add to the misery with the extra time it warranted.

Surely we know they are going to just lump it forward, no football, no finesse, just kick anything that moves.

I think I’m so afraid we won’t make it up this season. I am most definitely anxious. I am aware of it. Sorry.

Under Bloomfield, Colchester's clear strategy was to get as many free-kicks as possible near to the opposition's goal. As you say, - lump it forward, go to ground, accept that eventually you might get a booking for diving but you also by then may have had two or three free kicks given, When the forward is eventually booked, wait five minutes and then replace him with a fresh one. Colchester won five away games in a row doing this.

Thereby creating constant pressure in our box. Anxiety of not, we don’t tend to deal with balls into our box very cleanly. A tough afternoon awaits , but I’ll be singing my head off for that win .
