Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is 19:01 - Apr 15 with 1548 views | carlisleaway | miles ahead in the POTY awards, his consistency is unbelievable and has only missed one game. He reminds me of a Matty Holland, would love to see him lead us in the Championship.

Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is on 19:13 - Apr 15 with 1469 views | Stewart27 | I think the general consensus is that Morsy deserves it. But to say he’s miles ahead is a little too much. I absolutely love Chaplin. He’s got an infectious love for football and it seems ITFC. Any team that gives him space in the box gets punished. But back on the Morsy stance of POTY I agree. Our central midfield has been pivotal this season to our success. Evans - arguably POTY until his first injury Humphreys - short listed for young player of the season. What an impact he’s had in his first season Luongo - what can I say? POTY since January? But the one constant in midfield and 8/10 on a bad day is our supreme leader, Sam Morsy. There are not enough superlatives for him in my opinion.

He’s the difference between us having a shot at auto promotion or not. And it’s not that long ago that people were moaning about how underwhelming Morsy was being. It’s been a long season and he hasn’t been as consistent as some are now trying to say. Although, in fairness to him he was having to pretty much carry the midfield on his own for a while. Either are worthy though. It’s fine margins and both have been immense (plus Leif and a late entry from Broady, but that probably wouldn’t be fair).

Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is on 19:35 - Apr 15 with 1387 views | ReusersTown | Morsy is the most consistent for me and is the key to this team, but for someone who wasn't overly sold on Chaplin at the start of the season, he just gets better and better. It's very tight IMHO.

Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is on 21:38 - Apr 15 with 1245 views | wkj | Chaplin's first touch has improved massively - and I would be leaning on the side of voting for him- the tie breaker being based purely on the fact that the improvement from last season has been staggering.

Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is on 23:01 - Apr 15 with 1134 views | ArnieM | Our strikers are scoring goals for fun , this is true. But for that to happen the midfield have to be controlling the game, and in my humble opinion, Morsy drives this team forward. I doubt our strikers would the number of opportunities they have had, had not Morsy / Luongo not been the midfield partnership they are. So for me it had to be Morsy. He’s EVERYWHERE. He’s just phenomenal. But it’d be great if we could award a POTY award to the whole squad because as the season has gone on they’ve just got better and better……. It’s called” gelling”!

Appreciate Chaplin has been scoring goals for fun this year but Morsey is on 09:13 - Apr 16 with 865 views | BloomBlue | Going to be hard to pick any other player than Chaplin, goals win games as they say, where in the table would we be without his goals. Personally I would give it to Broadhead as I feel he has completely changed our season. Yes, Hirst/Luongo have improved things but Broadhead's skill/direct running is causing opposition numerous problems. Cheltenham last game we missed him and he was the only change, a Broadhead on the pitch last week wins us the game. I think Chaplin is actually getting more space on the pitch because Broadhead is dragging players towards him and that pass for the 2nd goal was sublime. Morsey consistency deserves credit, my only complaint about him is some of the pointless bookings. I would call it headless chickens sometimes and at this stage of his career he should know better. Ironically his best spell came when he had to avoid being booked. But ultimately I cannot see beyond Chaplin for POTY

I think he's been coached extremely well. When he first started he was trying all of these blind flick passes and cheaply giving away possession. Much better care of the ball now and bringing Broadhead to supply the through balls has been a stroke of genius. Chaplin has 100% benefitted from a better coaching team and better quality around him.
