Tonys accent, calm voice and phrasing sounds so much like Sir Bobby that if you close your eyes it could well be him.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

If Mckenna ever went to a Premiership team then Mogga would be ideal replacement. Loves the club.

People do seem to be building themselves up to the idea that momentum will carry us to the playoffs. I hope they aren't disappointed if that doesn't happen.

A bit like Ashton said in one of his interviews, I'm fine as long as we show progression each season for the moment.

If Sunderland can manage it, why can't we?

If that bunch a few miles north can finish mid-table with the crap they play. Surely we can better that.

Personally, I think the team that finished the season as our strongest, if everyone still here, incl Hirst, would definitely hold its own in the championship. Making the difference between holding our own and challenging at the top would need one or two additions of strength. I don’t think we’re far off, as I think we would go head to head against for example, Sunderland even as we are and feel there’d not be much in it, and they made the playoffs.

I would suggest in about 16 months our squad will be unrecognisable from that that finished last season. Players will be used as weight in balancing books and investing. We will look at optimum windows to sell players before they drop down pecking order as well I would suggest.
