Laughable now, take away the penalty area and he stays on his feet to get the shot in..

He's entitled to go down if he feels contact the pundits say, yes they mean cheat..

I always laugh when they plead ‘there’s contact’ when there’s unpunished contact all over the pitch. Rightly so as it’s a contact sport supposedly

Going to be very interesting to see how this new Australian manager works out on 14:53 - Aug 13 with 1414 viewsunstableblue

He’s obviously miles behind Brentford and their manager’s gelling of what is now a strong Premier side.

So he needs time.

But some of the discussion of him from the Five Live team was a little concerning, apparently very stand offish with the players. Limiting his interaction purposefully.

Hardly McKenna!

If McKenna continues with this success, they’ll be the usual media frenzy about him en masse, and then the likes of Spurs will come a calling if this current Spurs project fails.

I’ve convinced McKenna wants to test himself with familiar and community bonded Ipswich in the premier league… not a straight jump to one of the big clubs.

Poll: How do you rate the new home kit out of 5?

Actually I think thats a fair pen. He's turning and his foot is clipped as he does so, wrecking his balance and movement.

The two jobs he would consider I would have thought above all others are Tottenham and united, so I kind of hope both do ok this year (although not that much!)

Obvious dive after feeling 'contact'. And I thought football was a contact sport. That contact did in no way stop him from getting to the ball or retaining possession of the ball...that was achieved by the guy throwing himself to the ground.

Don't agree. And I am pretty cynical about such things. He's turning very tightly and has his standing foot clipped as he's about to lift it.

Agreed

But I think McKenna is too intelligent to take those big roles until he’s truly ready.

Given this Spurs performance then perhaps he’s going to do Ok. Certainly Man U look set for a good season with their signings and settling manager.

I played he dived went down like like a bag of spuds that's what's wrong with the game absolutely hoodwinked the referee.
As for the Spurs manager I think he will do OK don't need to be over friendly with the players just respect nothing ways May not have managed a big English club before but when he went to celtic he did well and up there I follow Rangers

Absolutely - the pundits need to actually read the rules. And it would help if the refs explained why they have taken the action that they have. Reading the actual rules, I do sometimes struggle to work out why something is deemed to be a direct free kick offence within a player's penalty area and hence is a penalty.
