Did the Martlesham to Sproughton line ever get extended to Stowmarket?

That site is a wind-up with photos of things which have some similarities with Underground stations in London. Somebody on a rail forum described it as an April fool.

And going back to the tube map, just imagine the engineering for tunnels under the Gipping.

Don't have to imagine it, I've seen it. It's mind-blowing. (Either that or they were some funny pills.)

If you listen carefully when the tide is out, you can still hear faint echoes of people singing 'Roll out the barrel' and 'Knees up Muvver Braahn'. I'm not fully convinced that there isn't a loop still running that they forgot to close down at the end of the war.

Thank you Norman Stanley.

I would think that aswell, Ipswich is really not large enough to have a tube network and the supposed time it was running the town would've been even smaller

Not when you consider all of the underground factories and troglodyte communities, some of which are still thriving. Churchmans, for example, still roll the finest fags money can buy somewhere under Gyppeswyck Park.

I'm sorry but you're totally wrong.
I travelled on it many times in my youth on the Chantry line to Copdock.

Part of the tunnels where the underground section emerged over ground are still there, right below the Copdock Mill interchange. Disused now and flooded as the Belstead Brook has diverted through them

I thought it was built on dirty Russian money, and the sweat of the downtrodden proletariat.
