Just looked at Middlesbrough’s forum - they’ve picked up the rumour from here. One fan suggested Crooks doesn’t really fit in Carrick’s style of play, so that may be why they’re looking to cash in.

Even if we do bring in Williams and Crooks (both who I’d be delighted about), still feel we need a CB and striker through the door.
