Given the bespoke Ed Sheeran blackout kit last season I don't think it's a guarantee that we'll have a templated one. Particularly if it's linked to his latest album launch which seems quite likely.

Umbro produce templates, just like any other manufacturer, so there is a pretty good chance it will follow a similar design to that.

That's a huge expense, set up and marketing exercise just to "keep buzz" on socials. The reason the black kit did so well was it was a one off, designed by Ed Sheeran, and a ton of his fans purchased it. Third kits are only mandatory in the Premier League, and in the EFL only required when there is a clash. Given that Sporting Irn Bru are not playing in the Championship this season, I think we're pretty safe on that.

Not that I want to rip apart your whole rant….

But the original post just mentioned ANNOUNCING it this week to keep some positive noise around the club during the international break. Announcing something already in motion is wholly and completely different to planning, designing and launching something.

I remember a few years back we made a deal about the light blue/grey/white away strip being made from recycled ocean plastic, and then changed it within 8 months...

Surely to be more sustainable we need to simply stop producing a new set of 2/3 strips every 8 months or so?
