Jolly fellow isn't he. A man who was never a regular but happy and proud to be part of the club for a decade and half. Never let us down either.

I remember feeling quite sad though at his final appearance for Town as he was getting quite a bit of stick from fans behind the Churchmans goal. 0-3 v Soton. Think Frank Worthington got a goal or two.

He is an absolute gentleman. Terrific to talk to and was a really good keeper in his day too.

Nice one!

He was a better keeper than many people think and a tremendous servant to the club

Apparently he was in tears after the match, so much so that in the program for the next home game, Robson mentioned it, reminded everyone what a great servant he had been to the club and that, of course, jeering one of our own players will never improve that player's confidence or performance level.

Great servant to the club and a good back up to have. He was an understudy to not only Cooper but David Best as well. Best is 80 now. Time flies so quickly.

The first Town autograph I got after training at PR, even though I wasn't entirely sure who he was at the time.

Was more likely to be Ferguson that said that, as this was 83/84 season. I do remember a piece in the Star about it. He was visibly upset during the game. I was only 10 or 11 but had I been a few years older, I'd have not been shy in telling the barrackers to belt up.

Like I said earlier, it was his final game for us so a sad way to bow out. I think Mark Grew became the new no.2 not long after.
