A couple of comments
We were standing on Sir Alf Ramsay way next to the Bus depot.
We immediately recognised Delia's husband in the passenger seat so suspected that Delia was on board, although we could not see through the tinted windows.
It may simply have been coincidence that Delia arrived when she did, she was behind the Town coach which was led in by police motorcycle outriders and followed by a police car.
There were other vehicles following Delia's car, including a couple of supporters coaches and a lady who was trying to get to an address on Constantine Road. With the coach moving slowly once it reached the crowds, it may be that this was no more than a random queue of traffic. [Post edited 17 Dec 2023 18:37]

I watched it, and they came through honking the horn to get maximum attention, and succeeded . I hope her Yorkshire puddings don’t rise, and her turkey is dry on Christmas day !! |
I would imagine that's not the only thing that's dry on Delia now, although it has been reputed that she downs more sherry than she put's in her trifle, that's not a euphemism either. | | | |
