It's just interesting that Churchman went with, "We’ve lost only once in the last five games" (and qualified that we've had a lot of our best players missing and played two of the toughest teams and a derby in there). Of course everyone on this thread and I assume the board agrees this is the best season since the Burley years, and all will celebrate a play-off place, in what will have been a remarkable season.
But we’re also enjoying the battle for second place, and I suspect McKennas is going to be backed to keep that hope and campaign going - two strong loanees already, and we’re only 7 days into the window.
So the Sunderland game is important in that context.
But I’m enjoying this season immeasurably. It’s been a classic. | |
