McKenna said it was something the club was working on and needed to get going properly at the last fans forum.
Understand it takes time and isn't as simple as just finding and buying a player we like the look of but I've always found it hard to believe that we took a recruitment guy from Man Utd to head up our scouting department and we don't now have any knowledge of or connections with people on the continent.
In fairness, McKenna's often put quite a bit of emphasis on players 'knowing the division' (and has spoken about the difficulty of foreign players settling into a new environment) so it may well be a choice to 'limit' ourselves to the UK for now. |

A case maybe that our great start has put us in a bit of an awkward position this window in some respects. For one, clubs will know we're desperate for a forward and try and charge us top dollar, but also given that we're right on the edge of top 2, we need to be sure anyone we bring in will be ready to hit the ground running and contribute right away. We might not be able to afford much 'bedding in' time which is why players like Kieffer Moore become more attractive rather than, say, some foreign lad who might have the attributes but could take a while to adjust by which point Southampton have overtaken us and left us behind. |  |
