HWFG - Moore on 10:01 - Feb 1 by smithy69 | Personally I think teams have started to figure out our system - and with some scrappier teams coming up - I can see Moore being more Influential against those Only an opinion though |
Teams have certainly looked to employee a high block (Rotherham were the first if memory serves) and then not pressed until the first or second pass. So, the issue of being 'found out' doesn't lie at the top of the pitch but actually with how we play out from the back. Moore certainly offers a target for a more direct pass out, as would Gallagher (like Hirst). Moore is less mobile and for us, when we defend from the front this maybe an issue. Hirst's press is a trigger and sets us into play to win the ball back higher up the pitch. This is where Gallagher would be a better option. Not saying Moore can't do it but he's less used to doing this work off the ball.

HWFG - Moore on 10:11 - Feb 1 with 714 views | NthQldITFC | Not having watched much (any) Premier League football for years (or more to the point not having seen Kieffer Moore play for years) what is his ground work like? Specifically is he good at holding off centre-backs when he's getting the ball in to feet, back to goal? I presume this is something he's pretty good at with his size and experience. Very much up our street if so, even without a massive amount of pressing stamina.

HWFG - Moore on 09:18 - Feb 1 by WeirdFishes | I’m not excited / happy as others at the prospect of signing Moore but beggars can’t be choosers at this time. |
I'm with you on this one. He's never appealed to me and was hoping for something a little more exciting than a journey man who's record doesn't scream prolific. Although I'm sure Mckenna will endeavour to get the best out of him.
