Not counting any Kieffer Moore chickens quite yet, and well aware that McKenna is unlikely to ever go with two up front, but can you imagine coming up against Moore and Al-Hamadi? Not many CB pairings in the Championship would enjoy a physical battle against those two specimens.

Conor Chaplin would be really good at finding space behind Moore at set-pieces as well, a la that goal against Sunderland, because so much attention would be on Moore.

Gives us options depending on the opposition...Al-Hamadi to press teams to death when they try to play out from the back, or run in behind if they play a high defensive line, and Moore for teams who are more direct or sit off us (or just park the bus) Don't have to play together to give CB pairings a hard time - one to graft for an hour plus, and another to come off the bench to maintain the intensity.

Davis bombing down the left, crossing a ball into the box, big Kieffer heading into the corner. Bread and butter to the big man.

Think it opens it up even more for our 10s to find gaps around the outer box. attention firmly on Moore. You can't allow him space, so you've got to free up someone..

integral for me that we really start training on the old fullback at far post stuff too

We’ve needed a big man up top for those park the bus games. Also means we can route one up to Moore, and Chaplin can fire in the knockdowns.

And if we come up against a possession team, then we just get Al-Hamadi to scare them into submission.

Agree it’s far more likely to be the plan. Sounds good too.

You just know that Chaplin will end up winning even more headers in the box with Moore being in there as a distraction

Moore and Chaplin have a Sunderland late 90's Quinn and Phillips vibe to it. Not that we are as direct as that usually.
