I was beginning to think it was a forgotten offence in the modern day as refs never seem to punish it even when it is quite blatant. So I was glad to see Stroud penalise Peltier(?) for obstruction on Burns when he was trying to break through, he even booked him. Mind you the blighter did do a double obstruction so maybe that's what it takes these days. There was also another blatant obstruction on Sarmiento in the first half as he burst through to chase a through ball which went unpunished by the officials. |  |

And some of those that do exist are never enforced. Allegedly an indirect free kick is given when:
"A Goalkeeper touches or controls the ball with their hands or feet, in the penalty area, for more than four seconds."

Rotherham were getting away with a lot of niggly off the ball stuff last night, be it obstruction or repeatedly catching our players after they had made a pass (and the ref's view tracked the ball).
Don't really blame them for doing it, when you're struggling you've got to try and get every advantage you can, but pretty frustrating that the officials missed most of it. |  |
