Davis reminds me of Alexander-Arnold. 00:07 - Mar 10 with 598 viewsMercian

Both are great players at their level but neither are great defenders. Davis is more of a wing-back and could also be good as a wide midfielder whilst TAA is more of a deep lying playmaker. The problem is we don't have the players that suit a 5 at the back formation.

Similar to Clark in his suspect positional sense.

It's what modern league football requires, a more attacking fullback. Same with Cresswell, great attacking 10/10, but when defending he was often viewed as out of position 8/10, hence why he never got a run in the England team.

Couldn't agree less.

Davis isn't superhuman and can't defend when he's 30 yards up the pitch and we lose possession cheaply. But he is a good defender.

The fact we're at the top of league suggests we very much do have the players and the consistency. We're just perfect and worth tens of millions yet.
