Last year several of you very generously sponsored me on the marathon fund raising walk along Dedham Vale. This year junior is doing the Lake District one as she is studying ooop North. From what I remember the ÂŁ250 is a minimum amount that Macmillan request you raise in order to do the walk.

Itâs a great cause. Theyâve been very supportive of Mrs C (whose treatment for a similar problem to the Princess of Wales, though not as bad, we found out on Thursday has been as successful as all hoped it would be) and need all the money they can get.
I strongly believe this sort of thing should be centrally funded. But it isnât so itâs left to the initiative of people like your amazing daughter to make up the shortfall. It, along with certain other organisations like St Elizabethâs will get my ongoing support.
