I’ve got a ticket for Saturday , which I was buzzing about , however looks like it’s just rail replacements on from Liverpool Street to Ipswich, & Kings Cross to Cambridge - anyone got any other suggestion on how to get to Ipswich from London on Saturday ? I don’t drive and there’s also not even a national express coach service that goes from London to Ipswich . Trains are a bloody joke ! |  | | |  |

Quite, four trains an hour back to Liverpool St from Billericay too.
Newbury park on a Saturday night, and taking 20 minutes to get into the bloody carpark is an absolute travel highlight. | |

Billericay to Witham was only 35 minutes last weekend so really not too painful. It's also a pretty slick operation from train to coach*.

More often than not there have been rail replacements on the line this season. Despite the works, the best option is still sticking with Liverpool St to Norwich line. The bus times are overestimated on the journey planner online by about 20-30 minutes.
The advantage of going via Billericay is you can grab a snack/beer at the M and S petrol station next to the train station. |  | | |
