Will bloody Norris had been in goal for Pompey as they've won the league.

The bloke was bloody useless here. Will never forget his charging out and having a wild flap away at Wycombe...

The thing about Norris here is that he made three big errors - add Lincoln and Peterborough to that one - but the rest of the time looked like he had all the basics of goalkeeping right. The contrast with Holy in that regard was marked.

He had a decent season with Peterborough last year too, albeit they are never particularly solid defensively.

Elliott Hewitt was promoted with Mansfield too, amazed he is only 29!

Christ, that's a name from a long while ago!

Didn't we sign him as "the next big thing"(TM) at 17 only for his hip to fall off or something?

Did he even appear in a league game?

Norris was miles better than Holy. Chopping and changing your keeper every time they cock up is never going to lend itself to confidence or consistency. Have to say I’m not sure either were or are championship level though. I expect Pompey will upgrade.

Not impossible he's kicked on since he played for us. He was 25 when he signed for us, had one full season at League Two to his name. It's not uncommon for goalkeepers to develop later than that.

Hladky was still reserve keeper for a mid-table Czech team at that age, didn't get a gig as a first choice keeper until his second season at St. Mirren at 28 years old.

Lol Tomas Holy, the GK who was 6 foot 9 yet every time a shot went into the top corner, he'd stand and look at it rather than trying to dive and save it.

It's ones along the ground that I remember the most, he took a long time to get down to those. Normally just in time to get up and pick the ball out of the net.

Watching him, Toto and Wilson pass the ball around at the back was fun too.
