"When we turn over your team of second stringers on penalties in the third round and you've got no second chance, remember...

You asked for this."

Indeed, it is not going to achieve what the "big clubs" think it will. Ultimately it is about further devaluing the competition and little else.

It's all about decreasing the number of games for the big clubs under the pretend banner of player safety. They have 25 man squads with plenty of decent players young enough not to count.

As soon as they get a free weekend they will be arranging mid season friendlies. Will the likes of Man City care if they go out in round three? They can just arrange a few mega money friendlies in the Middle East.

Truly impaired.

Which I guess achieves their aims... Minimise niggly little competitive matches in exchange for the footballing equivalent of Elton John performing at some rich kids birthday party.

How does competitive auto correct to competnovice?

Except the evidence shows their justification is nonsense. But of course we all know this. Gaslighting has become the norm in all walks of life.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
