Latest modelling shows that we are on track to smash through the 1.5C target for global heating and are currently on track to hit 2.7C by the end of the century.
Of the scientists polled, 50% thought even 2.7C was optimistic and that we would be over 3C by the end of the century.
This would put about 2 billion people in locations which would be extremely hard to live in.
Another study concluded that with 3C of warming cities such as Osaka and Rio would be under some water and Miami and Shanghai would be completely gone:

People who don't believe it's real, and here, should be offered free luxury housing in low-lying areas of Florida. If the oceans aren't warming and the ice isn't melting, then they will have nothing to worry about.
Letting people live like a prince while their children drown and burn, is already the plan.

I haven’t read the article but what did the other 50% think? Their opinion would carry equal weight if it’s a numbers game.
To save you the bother of reading it, 98.5% think it will be over 1.5C, which as you may or may not know was a compromise target set fairly recently.
Effectively everybody with a brain thinks there will almost certainly be a massive, worldwide, game-changing, catastrophic series of interlocked events and collapses of social and environmental order which we are doing buggar all about.
That's the reality we're facing and although many are too selfish or too uninformed (wilfully or otherwise) to give any serious brain time to the matter, we're all be forced to start facing these issues very soon. Many around the world already are, and if we start to see any of the tipping points linked to in https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/sep/08/world-on-brink-five-climate- happening (some arguably already are) we may see an acceleration which we just can't cope with as a species.
But every step we take now will help, and we might pull back from the brink of the worst of it. Every human being needs to ask themselves if they care about the future for themselves and their children.
