Reasons for Soton ....
- Martin has shown one style of play and one only and Kompany has proven this year that you'll get taken apart if you try to play keep ball in the prem
- Two wins against Soton so cleary half-decent matchup vs their style
- Leeds have a much better squad
- Two of our 6 losses vs Leeds so clearly a bad match up vs their style
- Always funny when Leeds bottle it
Reasons for Leeds ...
- Farke has a terrible record in the Prem
- Soton much more likely to be competing with us on transfers
- A few Soton players who might be of interest but will likely stay if they go up (Harwood Bellis, Armstrong, Downes)
- Will be funny to see what excuses Martin comes up with

So the final seconds goal has to be a Southampton shot that rebounds off the post and looks to have struck a Leeds defender's arm but actually hits Messlier, who is standing next to him, on the shoulder. Nevertheless as the Southampton attackers appeal for a penalty the Leeds players are so intent on protesting their innocence that no one notices the ball coming back down and limply rolling over the line off Dan James right buttock. Cue the majority of the post match analysis dissecting the calamitous chain of events and Don Goodman rendered speechless when asked for his comments. |

Yes, broadly agree with your reasons but I find that I'm fairly relaxed about this one now. There's a comedy element either way but think it's a big larger if Leeds lose. |  |

I've pondered this, and I think no, as I do not want to the give them a convenient excuse that they can cling to such as a dodgy VAR etc.
It has to be unambiguously soul destroying to reduce even the most hardened fans to tears . . . live on TV. |
Maybe they could score what they think is a very late winner, only for it to be ruled out by VAR, and Southampton then go straight up the other end to score the winner by virtue of a most embarrassing attempted clearance own goal? |  |
