Hardly. £6m is loose change to PL clubs. As is £10m. It’s nothing to them. Look at Chelsea. Allegedly nudging FFP limits yet going through managers like a dose of dysentery and the compo for that cadre can’t be cheap. Anyway, they’ve all just raked in an unexpected £5m from unused parachute payments.
It’s purely down to McKenna. Does he want to continue what’s been started here or move on? Nobody knows what he wants in the short to medium term and nobody will until the merry go round stops. The only person who might is Ashton and even that will depend on their relationship.
