I will be in Barcelona next month to attend a seminar. I will be staying there for a few days. I was wondering if Camp Nou is open for tours or if it's still closed for renovation. I found online that a certain section is still open. Also, if possible, can you guys recommend some places to visit in the meantime apart from those main tourist attractions?

Montserrat is supposed to be a good day out.

Montserrat is an excellent day out, great walks, lots of wildlife and stunning rock formations/ scenery. I drove past it an hour ago after visiting the Llobregat Delta, a nature reserve wedged between the port and airport. Lots of flamingos and glossy ibis completely unbothered by Ryanair and Easyjet planes just a few hundred metres above.

The real gem is the Catalan Pyrenees but too far for a day trip.

It sounds fun. Do you know any local bike rental shops?

You don't need to rent from a shop. They're organised tours and they provide the bikes. Just google "barcelona bike tour" or look on TripAdvisor. You'll find loads.

Here's the company: https://culinarybackstreets.com/

If the tours are a big much, the recommendations they put up are also usually spot on. They're usually very small groups (2-6 people).

It looks like they specialise in food tours.

Yes, all food tours (although in general they're food/culture tours, so there will be historic landmarks and info about life in the neighbourhood etc.)
