The bickering and name calling on here is unbearable 21:31 - May 23 with 4167 viewsSwailsey

Life is hard and sh*t enough as it is. Some people have been going over the top but anyone expressing the slightest bit of hurt about all of this just gets shut down or insulted.

I know my presence on here doesn’t matter, but it’s a safe space for me and it’s just full of such anger, it’s enough to add to the reasons to pack this life in.

Please can people start being kind and allow others to process emotions in their own way, without calling them wet, or soft, or a fake fan.

There's a difference between being annoyed at the thought of McKenna leaving and suggesting things like we should effectively sack him now in case he might.

Or, indeed, reviling and insulting the man who has got the team doubly promoted when we do not yet know the full picture. Seems to me it's McKenna being courted by these clubs, not the other way around.

Emotional is one thing, but some of it is verging on hysteria. Over something which hasn't happened yet and may not. People are going to make themselves ill.

Precisely this. Our very successful manager is being linked with some bigger jobs because he's been very successful and some fans are losing their heads and insulting him and calling for him to go. It's not a normal response to what is going on and it's baffling to me. I'll try and refrain from calling them bedwetters going forward but they could do with reflecting on their behaviour and considering what their views must look like to outsiders and indeed to McKenna who has done so much to revitalise the club and is now being thrown under the bus for his success by some.

For me it's like a TWTD on a matchday,

For 2 hours, people who don't go to Portman Road rule the joint, this place is over run with fruit loops who post utter sh1te and the "sensible ones" left get drowned out. Twtd becomes unusable, a cesspit of hysteria (ok, that's a bit ott) before normality returns as fans return from the ground.

Which isn't a problem for me, as I'm normally at the match. Can be quite funny reading postmatch the usual numnuts posting how cr*p we are just before a late equaliser/winner etc. Think the Leicester games were the best example of the fckwits who post on here.

Seems that we now have the same people struggling to come to terms with the idea that our manager may choose to go elsewhere. They lash out at KM, at his agent, at the journos like spoilt children throwing their teddy out the pram.

Some choose to call them out, some argue the points, some just give them a wide berth. I don't give you a wide berth cos I actually like and respect you and your views. But there are plenty on here who I do!

But mostly I just don't engage with them and have been sticking to General tab due to the state of the forum atm and don't think that will change any time soon tbh.

A potential insight into when he inevitably stays and we inevitably don’t win every week? - I sincerely hope not but this extreme reaction has got me wondering how some people will cope with us losing a few games.

Slugs have more backbone than some of our fans. The same people going mad now were the ones saying in February that we'd be lucky to hold on to a play off place and automatics were gone. They never learn, sadly.
