Vincent Kompany has done OK hasn't he.

Well I guess not being Italian gave him a head start.

That's not even the biggest "How did he get that job?" of today.

Wayne Rooney has another job in the Championship.

Surely his last if he doesn't make a good go of this one. Even Frank Lampard has now conceded management isn't for him after four goes at it.

He did a great job with very limited resources at Derby and also did well in the States. Birmingham was a silly move but he’s really not looked that bad as a manager if you look at it pragmatically.

Kompany will do OK there and will be up amongst the favourites to replace Pep when the time comes. His biggest flaw seemed to be sticking to his principles too much. That is less of an issue if you have better players.

Just goes to show even if he gets relegated with us next season, McKenna's stock will not drop off. Good managers/characters don't just lose their value overnight. Tbh he'd probably be the last person to blame if we got relegated. So he will stay, cause there's nothing to fear.

Semper fidelis!
