Does anybody else think we should go back in for 17:08 - May 28 with 5816 views | itfc1108 | Ellis Simms. Gave Man Utd a torrid time, and really looked the part in the 2nd half of the season. I can see him fitting into our system, and having a good battle with Hirst for a starting role.

Does anybody else think we should go back in for on 17:17 - May 28 by PhilTWTD | He actually cost £3.5m, £8m was if he plays for England, scores the winning goal in the World Cup final, is first man on Mars etc. |
I guess that deal would give Everton a real bounty

I'm a fan of Simms. He's got all the right attributes and ticks all the right boxes in terms of how we recruit.

Does anybody else think we should go back in for on 17:35 - May 28 by Clutch | No - he's inconsistent, and can be super lazy. |
He reminds me of the Peterborough striker we considered , name escapes me ……so it’s a no from me .

Define all the right attributes? Because I would say he has limited right attributes for the way we play. Good fit: tall, strong. Non fit: work rate very poor, mobility poor (does not press and I've seen him live many times), lacks pace. Question marks: goalscoring. 13 league goals. Goals are what he offers and this was limited last season. Unlike Hirst who would be similar in goals he doesn't offer all the work rate and selfless running of Hirst. He still has potential but I would really be concerned at how we could play a pressing/aggressive game with him. [Post edited 29 May 2024 11:34]
