Not a goal celebration but a double result celebration.

Last match of the season 1994 we needed to get a point more than Sheff Utd (playing at Chelsea) to avoid the drop from the Premiership. We were playing Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Listening to the classified football results read by the James Alexander Gordon on a shortwave radio in a tent in the pouring rain in the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia.

Blackburn Rovers nil; Ipswich Town nil
Chelsea 3; Sheffield United 2

Pandemonium. Instant noodles everywhere.

Did you do the full moon party on Koh Phangnan? Both times I've been out, I've missed the date for it. Besides, I'm too much of an old fart these days to party all night.

Yeah did that. It was all about the fish bowls back then, not sure if they’re still a thing. I stacked a moped pretty badly on Koh phangan, not sure what it’s like now but back then they were about £2 a day to hire and handed them out to anyone. I came a cropper after some heavy rain and never been back on one since.

Ps you’re never too old.

Ha! Yeah I came off a scooter in Phuket. Had a lovely grazed leg or Thailand tattoo as they're known. Bit more than £2 a day now but they'll still hire to pretty much anyone! Though the cops do now stop people and check you have the correct driving permit. You're supposed to have an international driving permit. But they will let you on your way with a 1000baht spot fine.

Was in a maccies in some random rural town in Arkansas sat with a German and a Japanese man whilst Town scored what I thought would be a last minute winner at Charlton in October 2022. The rapid mood swing would probably have looked perculiar to the other three people in there.

I survived Ipswich 0-0 Burton

Yep, fishbowls are still around. There's a few in Pattaya but they're mostly in Bangkok.

The new thing here in Patts are Gents Clubs. If you'd like to know more about these drop me a PM.

Phuket is good but Patong is very busy and popular with Russians now. Koh Samui is beautiful yeah. Particularly fishermans village area. At night it has a great atmosphere. Next time I want to explore the north more. North is supposed to be the "real" Thailand.

The north is stunning, especially Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.

Some beautiful and interesting places to visit up there, in the mountains.

Last time I was up there we went to visit the village where the ladies have the long necks. Just amazing. The girls have these neck braces on pretty much from birth, so by the time they're in their 30's it's really noticeable. The older ladies even more so.
