Think McKenna's tone in acknowledging the other jobs is about right 18:23 - May 30 with 4791 viewsDubtractor

No point pretending it didn't happen, and he is spot on that it's right to at least understand what else is out there, but happy with where he has ended up. He makes the point again that he is (and always has been) fiercely ambitious, so we'll probably go through this again at some point, but we can't begrudge him that.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I didn’t realise he got offered the Brighton job, where did you read/hear that? So we are assuming he wasn’t offered any other job? You cannot consider a position you are not offered.

Phil has said this re Palace/Brighton.

Establish us in the prem over the next 12-24 months and I don't think anyone would begrudge him his dream move to Old Trafford.

Thing is, his contract is now of a level where only the 'big six' would feel a step up earnings-wise. So I just hope we've fended off the Brighton-esque approaches for good.

My gut feel? We have Kieran for another two years max, while Ten Hag (or a replacement) establish INEOS' way of doing things and he then moves to Old Trafford with everyone's adoration and best wishes.

And then we beat them to the Champions League-spot ;)

As we know, McKenna comes as a package - him plus his backroom staff. Judging by his tone and how well he has settled in the area would it be feasible to think that maybe it was just part of the "team" that wanted to discuss options with other clubs and not necessarily driven by McKenna not his agent?
