City Vs the Prem 08:13 - Jun 9 with 2107 views | Charlie_pl_baxter | Would it be the most Ipswich thing ever to finally get to the Premier League just as Abu Dhabi take the whole thing to pieces in court? [Post edited 9 Jun 2024 8:15]

Hope you're right. Analysis I just read in the Guardian suggests that the league won't be able to afford the legal costs if they were to expel them, meaning they have no ultimate sanction they can apply.

Swift resolution is not the hallmark of these kind of disputes. Look at how long it's taken to even begin addressing the issue of ManC's financial transgressions.

The PL itself can't fund the legal costs? That's insane in itself, personally I do think if you drop them to the National League, you'd simply create a power vacuum that someone else falls into How City would manage a drop off like that, in itself would be a fun social experiment for everyone bar the teams who have to play them

What are the Premier League going to sue Man City for, within that litigation?

I'm sure they can find something. Bringing the competition into disrepute, perhaps?

Wasn't there something about government being worried of funds being pulled from abroad so they might want to protect man city for this reason alone..
