I'm just going to follow up your song rather than a full on year comparison and say 2014 (because I couldn't understand Sam Herring's dancing then and I don't now.)

I love Future Islands. The singer is nuts lol
Saw them a couple of weeks ago and he is even more extraordinary live, but surprisingly straightforward and 'down home' when talking to the audience. Very glad I experienced the full power of the act.
It has to be 1992 when the chance of anything approaching socialism in this country died for me.
To rub it in, I went out for a drink the next day in central London, and I've never seen so many City types and the like celebrating outside pubs and bars on a beautiful day.
This great song from that year seems particularly apt.

I wasn't alive in 1937, but things have that "The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and the whole of Europe is going to go up in flames in the next couple of years but let's all bury our head in the sand and try and embrace the chaos" feel that Fred encapsulates here:
Military bugles break in (the siren call of National Service?) but Fred ignores them and goes back to gallivanting around.
Whatever anyone thinks of the who, whys and wherefores I think the World changed in 2001 after 9/11. Meanwhile, in my world that year 'Is This It' by The Strokes was my soundtrack ...

3925BC You got this fancy new farming culture coming up from the South East with all the possible benefits it might bring. Yer Mesolithic hunter gatherer culture as peaked with many hunting techniques mastered to a degree we will probably never witness again. New monument types popping up everywhere and plenty of resources for everyone in society to have a happy and succesful existence. Not sure of the tune but probably something with a heavy repetitive drum beat.

I think the whole country was still recovering from the Wall Street crash and the ensuing depression at that time. Not sure the rich were getting richer and if they were it was from a much weaker position. Nice idea though

Yer think he was in a early line up of Sabbath around that time
Worked with Jeff Beck, part of Rainbow and MSG in his earlier years. Joined Sabbath when their drummer Bill Ward had drinking/drug issues and got the yips and struggled to keep time thereafter a lot of the rest of his career.

Perhaps this (not far from where I live in Kent) was one of his early venues. According to the National Trust, it dates to 3985-3855 BCE, and it forms part of what are known as the Medway Megaliths, the only known prehistoric megalithic group in eastern England.

Sadly, Ozzy's stint with Sabbath didn't overlap with Cozy's. I can see where you are coming from. Ozzy would fit in pretty well with 4000BC society though, probably with a bone through his nose and Fred Flintstone garb.

Got to be some Goth, perhaps from 'In The Flat Field' ?
