If the more extreme predictions of global warming are correct then we are facing a tricky future. Sea level rises, more extreme weather, crop failures, food shortages, all sorts of problems. Simple fact is we just can't keep pumping millions of tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere. It's not gonna be beneficial for future generations.

I did work in R&D for quite a while, as well being a programmer. So I do have something of a sciency and data background. Not at all in the field of climate science though - so maybe my gullibility (with an i) comes from that disconnect. I'm guessing that to inform your conclusions you must have more relevant scientific qualifications and experience, clearly superior to mine and those of all the proper and serious climate scientists, organisations and responsible big businesses who are striving against vested interests and poorly informed, rabbit hole-delving sheep who can't face the thought of having to adapt to survive. You would have to be gullible to believe it was the hottest day. It wasn't even close to it here! I do like the idea of gullability, though. The ability to fly and noisily scavenge for food. It is almost a post-apocalyptic Mad-Max style reality so seems very apt to the context.
