Junior doctors offered 22% over next two years on 17:04 - Jul 29 by bluejacko | To want pay linked to god knows how many years ago was a piss take! They knew their pay when they signed on, a pay rise is warranted but the BamA knew they were never going to get 35%. 22% seems a tad high now we will have the nurses etc saying hang on we didn’t get anywhere near that! She has also lost a few million votes by cutting fuel payments to pensioners. According to the IFS half of this £20b hole is off her own making by accepting the pay review bodies recommendations without productivity guarantees. Which the last govt hadn’t even seen! If you or anybody else thinks we wont be paying more tax in one way or another dream on😂 |
Of course they knew they wouldn't get 35% just like Blackburn know they aren't getting £20m for Smodzic! If 22% is only a tad high in your eyes, why the big fuss? Let's be honest here, you begrudge any hard working public sector employee getting a pay rise because it doesn't directly benefit you. Let's hope we now have a government who can actually see the bigger picture and the benefit of having a reasonably paid, motivated and dedicated public sector

They knew it when started but it has been deliberately reduced in real terms over ten years. As for productivity guarantees, what a load of blx. Just a way of seeking more for less and ignores all the reasons for productivity issues in favour of the assumption that it is laziness.
