Reading some of the comments about the queuing system implemented, will this be the same for all away games too? This will make it even harder you'd have thought to get the points up on the membership if you start within the +15 category

It is a really fine balance to get right, we want every football loving child in Suffolk and beyond to be wearing an Ipswich Town shirt, that is in the best long term interests of the club. We do need to breed a new generation of support for the club, because we have lost a generation.

Having said that, I do hope they continue to offer a level of protection to those of us that have built up points. If, we are unable to establish ourselves as a Premier League club, then the club will need to fall back onto their more hardy support base, because there will be a ton of new fans that want to come and watch our games this season, that is inevitable and the club needs to make sure they don't hack off the hardy lot, because in future, they might be back to relying upon them.

I think the Queing system is a necessity unfortunately due to the various bots around now.

They were never going to keep everyone happy however I think the system is flawed given away fans and touts could purchase a membership and have the same chance as everyone else. If you're a tout one resale and you've covered the membership cost and more. Personally for the super blues memberships I think there should have been some kind of purchase history and then for juniors a parent or guardian with a purchase history. The ballot should also have had a higher threshold to reward the hardcore fans or even multiple entries if you went to X games. There's still then the chance for the new fans in the Monday scrum.

Also for away games, although unlikely to get that far I would have thought the lower levels would have been better to begin at 6 and 11 as then you would have at least have attended one away game to reach that level (when taking into account the 5/10 points for having the membership)

When you consider those in 30+ 20+ categories won’t be in there, it might be easier.

However, if buying for a number of mates the system is crap. Me and my lot go in singularly, grab 1 ticket each, in an area. And very rarely do we need to go back in and re-pick.

But get some get all upset if they need to spend 90mins away from their mates

We’ll be good again... one day

Good point, i suppose it's slightly different from the home queues given that as you say those with 20+ will in theory have got the tickets at least a day in advance deppendent on the total number held

Therefore by cob on Wednesday we'll know how many will be available for the 15+ group

Can't you buy multiple tickets any more if your friends are linked to you and have enough points?

Yeah you can, well could, guessing it’ll be the same this season.
But we found it was a pain in the arse as you could pick 5/6 seats, and if someone else had it in their basket you’d need to go back in and pick another 5/6…

So we just go in and do it as singles most of the time.

Ah right, we would only need 2 or 3 at a time, so wasn't so bad.

I thought rather than random, would taking into account a member’s previous queuing numbers not be a fairer system. I guess it would be difficult, but with random queue positions you run the chance of really lucky people who often get to the front of the queue, and unlucky ones who are mostly at the end..?
