Maybe if the scum won't invest heavily they see the money in installments as a good thing so not tempted to spend it! All ways round seems like a strange deal to cut that way and kind of indicates Gala don't have the money upfront to be doing a deal for Davis as we need money now to replace (if he goes) and Townsend certainly isn't a replacement

You always have to factor in the price that the selling club paid and 5 or 6 million to three times that in a year or so, is an amazing return on investment. There is basically a firm cap on the price of a Championship player who has never played in the Premier League and it's about 20 million.

The believe there's a decent sell on for Sara with Sao Paulo so it's not quite as good a deal as it might sound

I wonder how much the sale offsets the loss of parachute payments

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Bellingham being a clear exception, as he is for most things!

I think narwich will be very disappointed in the fees they finally achieve for their better players. They’re desperate to offload from their wage bill and other clubs know it. Cherry picking time I think, and if they don’t offload , more losses to report in a years time. Have they still got thst ageing lump of lard in defence on a reported £40k a week?

Yet another example of why Championship fans saying their star players are worth inflated fees "in this market" is a load of nonsense.

Sara was one of the Championship's best last season, yet he's off for £15m. He should've had Premier League interest but so many of the bottom half clubs are tight against their PSR limits, so the demand just isn't there.

Sky reporting the deal is worth just over 22m including add ons , the buying club only has to announce the initial fee apparently.
Still surprised he didnt go for more , wonder what Nodge paid for him?
