Having Matt Holland on there effectively creates a trip wire for the board. Make a decision that might harm the club badly and you risk him walking away which would create enough noise that the board would want to avoid it.

Is a little more caution called for. An initial investment from a North American pension fund was warmly welcomed implying as it did a long term view and stable financing. Since then we have seen further investments but these involve astute investors in sports franchises.
Are we now in the hands of the money men and if so who is to say where this might end up.
