Yesterday's programme on 20:22 - Aug 18 with 1470 views | Tootingblue | The other question is why so few programme sellers at the game yesterday for a crowd of 30k. I walked around the ground and only counted 6 or 7 programme stations. The card payment only policy was also not working well. Result was long queues and lots of people, myself included, walking away not prepared to wait for 30+minutes. Lost income for the club.

You should have tracked down that bod who had 20-30 and was selling them for £10 each, cash only. He had obviously been to one of the booths early and bought a load and then resold them outside the ground.

which would be a good point to raise, except, weve had the same amount of programme sellers around the ground and near 30k sell out crowds for the past season and not seen the same crowds queueing for a programme, in fact Im sure I only saw the FA cup game against Maidstone as the one sellout prior to this yes i know obviously the interest was going to be greater, but wheres the line you draw for it, how many do you print, because its a loss leader if you end up with too many. also I mean seriously theyre all card only now, theres no mucking around with cash or chagnge, you can only buy one thing from them, why were there queues anyway, Ill have a programme, card, Ill have programme card. its like a 2 second flipping transaction.

Actually each transaction was taking about 3 minutes, they use their phone rather than the card payment machines, and that always seems to take longer. Probably not helped by the fact 30,000 people in a small area all trying to get a signal. The sellers I could only assume had to flip to 2g to get a reliable, but very slow connection.

They actually had a few more sellers out there, they had the usual booths but then a few of the old programme trolleys dotted around the place, the queues for those ones weren’t as bad

"loss leader?" Was it cheaper than the regular price?
