Exec boxes behind away fans in Cobbold Lower… 23:42 - Aug 18 with 2535 views | brazil1981 | Never been in one, however Liverpool fans stood in front for whole match. Does this obscure the view in the boxes? Guess this will be the norm this season!

Exec boxes behind away fans in Cobbold Lower… on 01:06 - Aug 19 with 2342 views | Hugoagogo_Reborn | I sold those boxes for 15 years. Yes. Those away area boxes have always been troublesome. If you want a Cobbold Box but are limited to the away end, then I'd advise going for hospitality with seats in the Cobbold Lower Executive area instead, or another area of the ground altogether. For fixtures like Norwich we always used to give those boxes to away fans because the backlash was significant, if not. I'm sure when the new stand finally happens, they will do similar to the West Stand, so that nobody's vision is obscured.

Those boxes were an after thought as we had none till the west was enlarged at the end of the Robson era... the original terrace was standing which is why the seating rake is so low... im sure they earn us a decent crust but as previously suggested sell them to awayclubs then they can communicate the requirement for their own fans to stay seated in that area for the benefit of their own.... Or rip those few out and stick " executive seats in with a meal?.... guess that wouldn't be cost effective but might be better from a customer satisfaction point of view?

A long forgotten fact. Those boxes were built by Colin Harper (for you yunguns...he was Town's left back in the 60s and 70s). Set up his own builders firm after retiring. The windows in some were designed to drop so those inside could get some of the atmosphere. I'll bore off now.
