Since when could you see the pitch through windows at the top of the stand.
In all my years seeing different pictures of it and having only sat in the then churchman stand I can't say I'd ever noticed it. |  |

Glad it's not just me that noticed it, saw it on the Liverpool game coverage first, and seen aerial pictures of the ground since and I don't remember it being like that and I've sat in that stand before, you'd like to think you'd notice it
Is it like an light/air gap for the pitch or something as the ground becomes more enclosed, Don't know. |  | | |

Yeah I kept looking at the picture last night thinking I must be looking at it wrong. Lol.

I thought that too and I came to the sound conclusion, based upon my knowledge of the principles of physics, that the new PL standard floodlights are so bright that light from them, reflected off very well tended grass, has sufficient energy to pass through thinnish zinc-coated corrugated steel. |  |

I think always but the lights haven’t been bright enough to show it and the glass has probably been cleaned/and or some sort of stickers taken off. [Post edited 1 Sep 2024 0:02]
