First half we defended excellently, albeit were pretty wasteful with the ball. Second half we offered a very real threat on top of the defensive work, and ended up comfortably seeing out the draw.

I don't want every game to be like that, but we showed some real grit and organisation today, and we'll need lots more of that over the course of the season.

Muric and Tuanzebe were immense.

Greaves too, an absolute beast. I can't remember the last time I felt so confident we were just going to deal with every corner we conceded.

Not a huge amount to write home about going forward just yet, and Hutch nearly dropped us in it once or twice when he lost the ball, but it feels like it's coming, and Delap's on his way to becoming a real terror for defences if he can keep his jostling legal.

Think the end glossed over the start! Some massive positives and signs we will be all right but what a difference a good start would have made.

When Burns put it through to Leif I thought the whole 90 mins was going to be a decent contest, the way we came back from a long period of fluffing lines and mistiming things whilst Muric and Axel kept on top of it was really heartening.

It was really noticeable how much better our 'connections' were between the front players when Hirst came on. For all of Delap's impressive running with the ball, he was wasteful in possession too often, and Szmodics was also guilty of that.

That link up play will come in time though, we can be confident of that, and if we can combine that with the organisation from today then we'll be fine.

Both Delap and Hutch turned into trouble too often today. It is, of course, a massive part of Omari's game butctoday he did lose it a couple of times when a lay off was a more sensible option. Delap has powfer and pace which we saw so clearly today. He needs to hold it up better, bring others into the game instead of always trynig to turn.
Minor things but I'm sure KM will continue to improve them both and they'll be big players for us for seasons to come.

Delap is probably worth 40 million already.

If he’d have scored that one today maybe. What a run
