A much better matchday experience yesterday compared to Man City… 18:11 - Sep 15 with 3019 views | SitfcB | …and not even because we got a result. Felt a lot more like a game of football, decent but smallish ground, nice/classic pre-match build up, welcoming home fans etc Also on the travel front, actual room on the trains to sit down unlike when you go up North. Please tell journeys to and from Brighton although our 19:14 was cancelled but that enabled us to get an earlier train anyway. With Brighton keeping the bars open after FT to help let the crowds clear easier it’s quite a novelty to hang around with a pint instead of rushing off, a nice novelty at that. Had one under the stand and then walked round to Dicks Bar to get another although U18s weren’t allowed in (found that weird tbh but there) so we had to stand outside and had some pleasant exchanges with the Brighton fans. Already looking forward to next week. COYB

Had a pint in Dick's before the match and was surprised they let us in. Apparently they don't always let away fans in. Walked past Ed Sheeran as he was heading into the ground. But a long wait for a bus after the game. I'm staying down south for next weekend's game in Southampton so I was not in a rush, but had I been heading home I might not have been so happy.

Luckily we didn’t queue for anything Think it depends who the away team are, it said in the away guide from ITFC that away fans were allowed in.

Stupidly stood inside for most part, didn’t realise you could take the beers out until a bit later.

Situated towards the away end looking on the Town fans down below us. I usually equate being an away fan in the 'home' end like being dead and in Hell but for this visit it wasn't too bad. The two other guests were Town fans and our host - Brighton of course, was outnumbered for the day!

Funny you should say that, I used to have a colleague in London who lived in Brighton, at the same time I was commuting from Ipswich. Both an hour on the train, his season ticket was £4k a year and mine was £7k. Cheers Greater Anglia.
