Southampton 22:00 - Sep 30 with 5360 views | bsw72 | How did we only just scrape a draw against that shambles of a team. They actually look to have gone backwards since last season.

Southampton on 12:24 - Oct 1 by JammyDodgerrr | They were actually OK for the first 15 yesterday, and certainly they were good against us. They seem to have zero mental strength though, probably doesn't help that the manager is berating them at every opportunity. |
The main problem for us was that we let in a goal so early and didn't give them a chance to implode. It was a great ball in from Lallana and a very good finish from the young lad. Southampton do have a bit of quality in there, just not the mentality. They also had the match against us marked down as a winnable match, so they seemed more up for it. The way we pegged them back has probably effected them badly, so they were worse in the next match. Hopefully, we'll be in a good position to beat them when we play at home.

We've now played valiantly against Liverpool and Villa but make those around us (Southampton and West Ham) look much better than they are. Have to say I'd prefer it the other way around.

Away from home is going to remain a challenge all season I suspect Home form will determine whether we stay up or not
