West Ham advice please 20:08 - Oct 1 with 1606 viewstrueblues78

I am going from London Euston to the game. After the game is it best to get back via the tube or go from Stretford International to Kings Cross? I have read the stations are mad after the game. The train from Stratford Int is at 17:47.

Thanks in advance

I'm sure the trains will be busy either way, unless you dodge a little early. But I would definitely just get the tube. I used to do this run regularly years ago (but from Liverpool street on the northern) just grab the central and go from there.

If you are in the away end, it won't be easy to get to Stratford Intl after the game. Away fans are shepherded away from the stadium in the opposite direction, and it takes up to 40 mins to get to Stratford tube. The International station is another 10 mins walk, and that's if they let you into the shopping centre.
You might be able to take DLR from Pudding Mill Lane to Stratford, then change platforms for Stratford Intl.
You'd do well to get to Euston by 1800 by tube; likely need to leave around 1650.

I’ve not been to a game at their new stadium, but if the post-match funnelling permits you to cross the canal to get to Hackney Wick then the chillest route would be to take the Overground from HW to Highbury & Islington and then dip down 2 stops on the Victoria Line from there to Euston. Station to station that would be about half an hour. Bon chance!

Yep, definitely this way is the best option IMO. Although we may get herded back to Stratford which would be annoying for me as well.

Pudding Mill Lane (on the DLR) is the nearest station to the away section.

Looking at a tube map, it looks like you could go one stop from there to Bow Church, get off there and walk a couple of hundred of yards to Bow Road on the Hammersmith and City Line and take that line to Kings Cross, and then take the Northern Line one stop to Euston.

I would be tempted to walk to Hackney Wick, get Overground to Highbury & Islington, then two stops on Victoria to Euston.

it will mean you're not fighting the crowds going through the lobsterpot of the ghastly Westfield.

This is the route I'm intending to take if we don't get diverted by plod.

I used to get hugely annoyed when we played at QPR and after the game, all the fans from the Town end were herded to White City on the central line, when I wanted to go to Shepherd's Bush Market station to access the circle/metropolitan line.
