Konsa did well there for half a game in the Euro's too.
It's not so bad under Carsley as TAA moves into midfield leaving a back 3 so having a natural CB at LB doesn't look out of place |  |

Not that it makes any difference to the England squad conversation, but Leif has actually played in 8 premier league games.

Have to admit that I thought he might be worth a punt on this occasion, especially as we're not exactly swamped with left-back options, but perhaps Carsley wants to see a bit more of him in the PL.
Plus, as others have said, it keeps him fresh and hopefully less likely to pick up an injury. |  |

When draught excluder stats become universally available I think you'll find that Leif will be an automatic inclusion to the England squad.
