Flight 1942. Although it's listed on Plex and Pluto as Flight World War II. That's already a bad start when they can't decide what the name is!
But OMG. WTF? Hilariously bad but strangely addictive!
You have to suspend A LOT of disbelief - particularly if you know even basic science. I don't know where to start.
SPOILER ALERT!
The way a jumbo jet from now manages to outmanoeuvre German fighter planes from 1940.
The fact that several windows are blown out... and there's a hole in the fuselage from a missile ...and an engine is hit but they sort of repair it by turning it off and on again a few times... and the plane still happily flies along and only two people get sucked out.
The fact that they cut the radar out of the nose of the plane, drop it via makeshift parachute, then the Brits collect it... and are able to immediately use it (despite it not being invented yet) in order to somehow help the jumbo (still not entirely sure how it helped)!
And why was the little screen they sent down with the radar attached to the wall with Velcro?!?
Why did that guy need to climb out and hang onto the wheel to fix the landing gear?!
Why did the older air stewardess throw a fire extinguisher to the younger one, and the younger one immediately knew she should use it as a weapon to conk people round the head?!
Everyone was happy at the end... did they forget about the two passengers who were sucked out?
The young soldier on the radio... why did his commander believe him and go along with everything? Not once did he go and listen to the messages himself. This was a plane from the future... dropping some tech, to help the allies, that hadn't been invented yet... and he's fine not to have a listen himself, just send some soldiers to collect it!
Just utterly bizarre. I don't think I've ever seen such a bizarre movie. One wonders who funded this and why!
But thanks, it was very entertaining!
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Overall pretty realistic then????
I haven't even mentioned that they fly into a storm... that comes out in an alternative version of 1940 (where D-Day was a massacre, radar hadn't been invented and the Germans have more advanced jets).
And the way they get back to the present... another storm appears just as they run out of fuel, so they fly into it and arrive/land back in present day Berlin.
Also ...the original flight was from New York to London... so why they continue across France and Switzerland towards Nazi Germany, rather than turn north and head to the UK, lord only knows.
I love the imagination - it's like a child wrote it!

Haha!!
The bloke sat at the back of the plane?
Oh yeah, I didn't really get that bit. He was writing a book about how the allies got radar? That was it, wasn't it? Not really a plot twist, more another bonkers bit they added on - I thought. Unless I've missed something?
